Robert B. Brock II

Attorney Robert B. "Bob" Brock II graduated from Le Mars Community High School. He then attended Iowa State University on a National Merit Scholarship, where he majored in Business Administration. Upon graduation from Iowa State, Bob enrolled in the Drake University College of Law, where he is proud to have received the prestigious Dwight D. Opperman scholarship. Bob was employed as a law clerk for a firm in Sioux City in the summers during law school. After graduating from Drake, he returned to live in Le Mars and was hired full time as an attorney in Sioux City, where he worked at a litigation firm for three years.

Later Bob opened his own general law practice in Le Mars, originally located on Plymouth Street NW. In 2012, Bob took over the practice of long-time Le Mars attorney William "Bill" Sturges and relocated to Bill's office on 2nd Street SE, where the firm's office remains located today.

Bob is proud to carry on the tradition of the Sturges law firm, where Bill practiced law for 59 years, and his father, George Sturges, for 60 years. Bob strives to continue the client-first attitude and friendly service that was the hallmark of the Sturges firm for so many years.

Bob is also very proud of Le Mars, and makes every effort to stay involved in the community. He has been a member of the board of directors of a number of local non-profit groups, including Le Mars Area Dialysis Services, the Plymouth County 4-H Foundation, and Plymouth County Pheasants Forever. Bob is also the current President of the Le Mars Lion's Club, and is a past President of the Plymouth County Bar Association, comprised of the lawyers of Plymouth County. He has also been involved in monitoring the practice of law statewide, having previously been appointed by the Supreme Court of Iowa to serve on the Commission on the Unauthorized Practice of Law and the Supreme Court Grievance Commission. Bob feels strongly that the people of Plymouth County, and all of Iowa, deserve to have the best and most honest legal representation available, and is proud of his participation in the oversight of those aspects of the practice of law on behalf of the Iowa Supreme Court.
